General Conditions Booking and Stay

Short-term bookings

Short-term bookings can be made online until 18:00 on the day of arrival.

Booking pitches

The booker declares, on their own responsibility, that all the details provided in the booking form are true and accurate. In the event of false or inaccurate information, Camping Paradiso Lago reserves the right to cancel the booking without refund and to report the matter to the relevant authorities.

Payment Terms: To confirm the booking, full advance payment of the total accommodation amount is required for stays of up to 21 nights. For stays of 22 nights or more, an advance payment of 50% of the total amount is required; the remaining balance must be paid upon check-in. By making the payment, the person making the booking declares that they have read and accepted the general booking terms and conditions.

Multiple Bookings: A separate booking must be made for each individual family or team/crew.

In case of non-compliance with the booking by the guest (late cancellation, non-arrival, impediment) Camping Paradiso Lago will retain the entire advance payment of the reservation.

Camping Paradiso Lago reserves the right to refuse a booking at its sole discretion, without being obliged to give reasons.

!! We therefore recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance with an insurance company.

Pitch allocation

If a reservation is made, your pitch number will be assigned to you upon arrival. If you have indicated a preference for the number, we will do our best to accommodate your request, but there is no guarantee that it will be assigned. However, you can always check availability and have another pitch assigned when you check in.

Arrival / Departure

Check-in and check-out times are binding and take place at the fixed times. The balance of your stay must be paid at the latest when you check in.

The reserved pitch is available from 2 pm on the day of check-in. In the event of a delay, guests are required to give advance notice via email or the chat function available on the website. To ensure flexibility on arrival in all cases, the pitch is kept free until 11.30 am on the day of check-out, with access permitted at any time during the barrier opening hours.

Late Arrival / Early Departure / Late Departure

In the event of late arrival and/or early departure the full amount due for the booked stay must be paid. In case of late departure in the afternoon after 12 noon, an additional night will be charged.

Changes/movement of bookings

Reservations can be moved, changed or corrected of charge up to 30 days prior to arrival, provided that the new dates fall within the same season. After which the entire period booked will be blocked and invoiced, as will late arrival or early departure.

Within 30 days of the arrival date, it is no longer possible to reduce the number of nights from the booking. The pitch will remain reserved and available for the entire period booked.

Within 30 days of the arrival date, a change of a reservation to a new date is no longer possible, the current reservation must be cancelled withholding the entire advance payment and a new one made with a new advance payment.

Cancellation

Cancellation up to 45 days before arrival: A cancellation fee of CHF 100.00 will be charged. If the deposit already paid is less than this amount, the entire deposit will be retained.

Cancellation between 44 and 30 days before arrival: A cancellation fee of CHF 300.00 will be charged. If the deposit already paid is less than this amount, the entire deposit will be retained.

Cancellation less than 30 days before arrival: The deposit / advance payment is non-refundable under any circumstances.

A booking cancellation must be submitted through the online form at the following link: cancellation booking. Decisive for the calculation of the cancellation costs is the date of delivery to the campsite of your written communication. In the event of a late cancellation, interruption of the stay and/or early departure, any reimbursement, including the booking fee, tourist tax and flat-rate electricity, is excluded. We therefore recommend taking out travel cancellation insurance with an insurance company.

Overnight stay without reservation

Overnight stays without a reservation are possible until 6 p.m. After compulsory registration, the final amount for the entire overnight stay is communicated, which must be paid in full upon check-in. There is no right to a refund in the event of early departure or interruption of the overnight stay. Upon arrival, Camping Paradiso Lago reserves the right to refuse an overnight stay at its sole discretion, without being obliged to give reasons.

Bookings for groups and schools

Reservations for groups (minimum 10 persons) cannot be made via the Internet. For this type of reservation, requests should be made directly to the campsite, preferably by e-mail or on the dedicated page on the website. A deposit and special cancellation conditions apply to groups. Groups of children (under the age of 18) must always be accompanied by sufficient adults.

Modification of Terms and Conditions

Camping Paradiso Lago reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions (TC) at any time without notice by publishing a new version of the TC on the Website (which cancels and replaces the previous version). Any booking made after Camping Paradiso Lago has published a new version of the TC implies acceptance of this new version.

Place of jurisdiction

The only place of jurisdiction is Lugano. Only Swiss law is applicable (references to any foreign law are not considered).
